Christopher Buckingham visited BeWell Innovations near Antwerp for a close inspection of the sensors and monitoring station that are being enthusiastically taken up by hospitals and patients in Belgium. He took some measurements using the sensors, but declined the blood sample one!
The visit gave an excellent understanding of how the BeWell sensors can provide added value to GRaCE-AGE care in the community. Activity, sleep, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and weight will be the first set of data sent to GRaCE-AGE. They will be interpreted by the clinical expertise embedded in GRaCE-AGE, which can then provide automated real-time advice for appropriate people in the care network.
