The NHS' Kolvin Service have recently adopted GRiST for delivering risk assessments in children's secure homes.
Based in St Nicholas' Hospital, Newcastle, the Kolvin Service is an adolescent forensic mental health service providing assessment and treatment for young people in two secure children's homes in the North East.
eGRiST delivered a workshop to introduce the GRiST risk assessment service at the Aycliffe Secure Centre. Following this, the Kolvin Service have licensed GRiST for use in adolescent risk assessments. The GRiST platform is built to adapt to the needs of different groups or "populations", making it ideally suited for use by adolescent forensic services.
The Kolvin Service, delivered by Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust, joins a number of other NHS services as GRiST users.
