Dr Buckingham attended a meeting at the Fraunhofer Institute of Technology, Germany, in a continuation of eGRiST’s collaboration with the European PICASO Project.
The PICASO Project is developing a Europe-wide ICT platform to facilitate the secure, privacy-compliant sharing and management of care plans across sectors and services. The platform will enable more efficient management of patients with co-existing chronic conditions by allowing information sharing between care providers, and the integration of data from at-home monitoring.
eGRiST began collaborating on the project in 2017 (read more). Dr Chris Buckingham, eGRiST Director and GraCE-AGE Principal Investigator, serves as an external advisor on the PICASO Ethical Board. Chris has extensive experience of the ethical issues surrounding the management of health data from his work on GRaCE-AGE, which involves the passive monitoring of older peoples' health status and surrounding environment.
Continuing collaboration with the PICASO Project allows the dissemination of expertise in health technology, and we expect it to prove fruitful both for eGRiST and PICASO.
